A 22-year-old wom@n has been arrested and charged before Magistrates’ court sitting in Ejigbo for allegedly inflicting injury on h-er rival’s face with razor blade in Lagos State. Miss Mary Atiake, who is a daughter of a senior police officer serving in Lagos, met he-r rival, Sarah Ogunyemi, in he-r l0ver’s house identified as Joe at Olowo Close in Igando and became angry.
Sh-e allegedly went and bought a razor blade with which sh-e inflicted injury on Sarah’s head and face. The victim who bled profusely after the attack was taken to Igando General Hospital where sh-e is being treated. The matter was reported at Igando Police Division and Atiake was arrested.
It was not certain whether Atiake and Sarah had previous disagreement over Joe before the incident.
P.M.News gathered from police sources that Atiake accused Sarah of being responsible for he-r unstable relationship with Joe.
Sh-e was charged with wounding under the Criminal Code and when sh-e was arraigned, sh-e pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr P.E. Nwaka granted Atiake bail in the sum of N10,000 with two sureties in like sum. The matter was adjourned till 29 July, 2015. Atiake was remanded at Kirikiri Prison pending when sh-e will perfect her bail condition.
After the incident Joe dumped both women for another wom@n.
